Pasadena, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Hogan threw two touchdown passes to lead a balanced offensive attack as Stanford knocked off No. 9 UCLA with a 31-10 victory. Hogan completed 16-of-19 passes for 234 yards, Remound Wright rushed for 64 yards and two scores on 15 carries, and Devon Cajuste and Michael Rector each hauled in a TD pass for Stanford (7-5, 5-4 Pac-12), which has won seven straight games against UCLA. This is the kind of game that we are capable of. We are not looking back, Stanford head coach David Shaw said. Forget about whats happened in the past, this game was indicative of how we want to play. Hopefully we will carry this on into the bowl game. Brett Hundley threw for 146 yards and a score on 17-of-32 passing for the Bruins (9-3, 6-3), who had a five-game winning streak come to an end. UCLA would have clinched the Pac-12 South title with a victory, but now Arizona, which defeated Arizona State by a 42-35 score on Friday game will represent the division against Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game on Dec. 5. Thomas Duarte made four catches for 63 yards and a touchdown and Paul Perkins ran for 116 yards on 17 carries for the Bruins. Obviously, it goes without saying that was just a disappointing loss, UCLA head coach Jim Mora said. I feel especially bad for our seniors who havent beaten (Stanford). There is really not much more to say. We struggled to get off the field on defense and we struggled to sustain anything on offense. Kaimi Fairbairn booted a 42-yard field goal to give UCLA a 10-7 edge early in the second quarter. For the second time in the game, Stanford answered the UCLA score with a touchdown on its ensuing drive. Wrights 3-yard run on third down moved the Cardinal to midfield, Hogan hit Cajuste for a 13-yard pickup, and Rectors 22- yard grab allowed Stanford to take a 14-10 lead with 6:24 remaining in the first half. The Cardinal made it a 20-10 game heading into halftime after Hogan lofted a 37-yard TD pass to Cajuste, who reached over a defender in the end zone to make the catch with 41 seconds to play before the break. Stanford continued to push the pace on its first possession of the second half. Wright ran for 27 yards, Hogan followed with a 16-yard keeper, and Christian McCaffrey took off for a 29-yard burst down the right sideline to the UCLA 6. Wright plowed through the line on third down for a 2-yard score and a 28-10 lead. UCLA lined up for a field goal on 4th-and-5 at the Stanford 30, but the Bruins, instead, ran a trick play. Jerry Neuheisel took the snap, but had his pass intercepted by Jordan Richards on a jump ball in the end zone for a touchback late in the third. The turnover led to points as Jordan Williamson capped a 10-play, 63-yard trek with a 34-yard field goal for a 31-10 lead with 10:40 remaining. After Stanford went three-and-out to start the game, UCLA went 64 yards in five plays on its opening drive for an early score. Hundley hit Duarte for a 21-yard gain down the right side, Devin Fuller went 14 yards on a screen pass and Duarte hauled in a 15-yard dart and bulldozed into the end zone. The Cardinal, however, answered right back. Hogan completed passes of 21 and 25 yards apiece to McCaffrey and Austin Hooper, respectively, to move his team deep into Bruins territory. Hooper caught a 13-yard pass to give Stanford a fresh set of downs at the 12-yard line, and Wright ran in from a yard out for a tie game with six minutes to play in the opening stanza. Or so he thought. As it turned out, Johnson stepped back a little too far, and the shot was discounted immediately when officials ruled he stepped out of bounds. The 76ers were awarded possession, and James Anderson made a pair of free throws a half-second later to seal Philadelphias 113-108 win over the Boston Celtics on Monday night. "Thats that," 76ers coach Brett Brown said. "His foot was out of bounds." Philadelphia led by 19 points in the second quarter, but Johnson hit 3-pointers on consecutive Boston possessions to trim the deficit to two as part of a 14-3 run to close the third quarter. After an 11-4 Philadelphia run to open the fourth quarter, Boston flirted with a comeback and got within two points several times down the stretch but could never pull even. The Sixers aided the Celtics near comeback with dismal foul shooting — they were 24 for 38 from the line. "We missed free throws, Rondo was Rondo, Johnson made some shots," Brown said. "But Im pleased we were able to find a way to win." Michael Carter-Williams had 21 points and 14 rebounds and Tony Wroten scored 20 points for the Sixers in their final home game of the season. "It was great to win at home," Carter-Williams said. "It was great to end on a positive note." Carter-Williams had a key steal and pass to Wroten in the final minutes which led to Wroten making two free throws in helping keep the Sixers ahead. "His ability to change things and lead breaks after he rebounds makes him unusually good," Brown said. "And I think he was pretty darn good tonight." Kelly Olynyk scored 28 points to lead the Celtics. Jeff Green had 27 points and Avery Bradley added 23. Rajon Rondo finished with eight points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds. "We definitely got aa lot to play for, and it showed tonight.dddddddddddd. We couldve laid down when we were down," said Brandon Bass, who finished nine points and eight rebounds for Boston. "We kept fighting and made it a game." Philadelphia took three of four games from Boston in winning the season series for the first time since 2006-07. The banged-up Celtics played without Jared Sullinger (left ankle sprain), Jerryd Bayless (hyperextended right knee) and Kris Humphries (sore right knee). After missing the past two games with a strained left shin, Rondo returned to action and dominated the games first five minutes before Thaddeus Youngs elbow to the head forced him to briefly leave the game. Rondo had five assists in the first 5:08 as Boston took an early 16-7 lead. But the minute the Celtics floor general left the game, the Sixers took over and outscored the Celtics 60-34 the rest of the half. Casper Ware made a long 3-pointer to cap a 22-9 run that put Philadelphia up by four late in the first quarter. Rondo, who returned late in the first quarter, followed suit by driving for a layup and drawing a foul. He then rebounded his own miss at the line and put the ball right back up for another two to erase the lead in 10 seconds. The 76ers turned it on again in the second quarter, this time going on a 28-8 run to build a 19-point lead highlighted by Youngs steal and ensuing cross-court pass to Wroten for an uncontested slam dunk. Green led all players at the half with 14 points, but Carter-Williams paced Philadelphia with 12 points and eight assists as the 76ers took a 67-50 lead at the break. NOTES: The Sixers scored 46 of 67 first-half points in the paint to the Celtics 18. ... The Celtics are the only team the 76ers have beaten more than once this season.
